Derrick A. Wilson is the founder, President and CEO of Wilson Technologies, Inc. based in the
Washington, D. C. metropolitan area. Under his vision and leadership, Wilson Technologies has grown from a small Information Technology Support company in 1997 into one of the most innovative management solutions firms in the region. Today, Wilson is the Federal and commercial contracting sectors' go-to choice to support, manage and maintain vital operations, including Mail Centers, Print Centers, Shipping and Receiving, Records Management, Transportation, Construction and a full range of professional Administrative services.
An active participant in business, civic as well as college alumni associations, Mr. Wilson won the 2014 Minorities in Business Leadership and Excellence Award. He sponsors several AAU Boys Basketball Team Organizations and is active with the D.C. Chapter of the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Alumni Association. Mr. Wilson is a well-known sponsor of WHUR-FM’s annual pre-Thanksgiving Food to Feed food drive supporting the Capital Area Food Bank as well as a regular contributor to the radio station’s yearly coat and toy drives.
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Mr. Wilson is a graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology with concentrations in Electronics and Computer Technology and Business Management.
In his spare time, Mr. Wilson enjoys traveling, great conversation, attending sporting events, reading, comedy shows and spending time with family and friends.
